Champions School of Real Estate has grown and a majority of our campuses have seen the addition of a new face!  In true Champions form, we asked them to answer a few fun questions, so that we can learn more about our new team members. Join us in welcoming Fred in Austin, Monica in San Antonio, Sherri in Houston and Christie in Dallas!

1. We are so excited to have you at Champions – what is it about Champions School of Real Estate that drew you in to join our team?

  •  I was drawn in by the friendly, professional atmosphere that pervades the campus. Additionally, Champions is consistently recognized by local area professionals as a top place to work, which, to me, means that it is well run and a place where current employees take pride in serving and supporting it’s customers.

2. Tell us a little bit about your background and what brought you to your new role at Champions.

  • Background in Computer Science with multiple roles in creation, development and management of enterprise level web applications. I responded to an advertisement which painted a picture of a challenging/multipurpose opportunity in Round Rock. I enjoy diverse, cutting edge development and the team at Champions School have ambitious, but realistic goals.

3. Ok, finally – give me three things – little–known facts, random trivia, etc – that we’d be surprised to learn about you.

  •  I come from a background in education and writing. I started out teaching Technology in the Classroom for the College of Education at the University of Houston, to pre-service teachers. I taught students how to integrate technology into their classrooms, giving them the necessary tools to forge ahead in the brave new technological world of education.I taught adult ESL, and was lucky enough to share wonderful experiences with some amazing students from all over the world. I most recently worked for a Language Services company in the Translations Department, servicing the oil and gas industry.I love learning new things, and acquiring valuable skills. I’m overjoyed to have joined the Champions School of Real Estate Team as a Technical Writer, and look forward to diving in with gusto!

3. Ok, finally – give me three things – little–known facts, random trivia, etc – that we’d be surprised to learn about you.

  •  I am an art nerd, and a patron of the arts. Most Saturday afternoons, you will find me at the Museum of Fine Arts during their Saturday Afternoon Lecture Series, and at every Member’s Preview and art opening in between.
  • In my free time, I write short stories and am working on a book.
  • I love learning languages; I took French, German and Italian throughout my life, and can read Spanish and Portuguese (a little). I love to travel, and have been to 7 countries and counting!
